I should have died.
I should have been
forgotten.
forgotten.
But I didn’t, and I
wasn’t.
wasn’t.
Living the life most women only dream about, I was madly in
love with my soulmate—Asher Valentine—amazing husband, loving father, and
rock’s favorite kick-ass front man. A man who loved me every day, in every way,
since we first met as teens. We were blessed with a beautiful
daughter who was the light of our life. My all-female rock band was tearing up
the charts.

Used to be.
And I have him—this man with wild hair, tattoos from head to

Review by Jen Skewes
I have been waiting for this book and it was so worth the wait. I admit I did not read the Ashes and Ember series, but I have read the first two books in the All Torn Up Series, so I knew a little about Asher and Ember. But honestly it didn’t matter because this book can be read as a stand-alone. This book completely ruined me but in a really, really good way. I’m honestly not sure what to say about this book or how much to say without giving too much away, but I will try my best.
Asher and Ember have been in love since they were teenagers. They have an amazing life together. They are both rock stars, they have a beautiful daughter and life is just really good for them. Until one day, tragedy strikes. After Ember’s accident, Asher has no idea how he is going to move on, other than knowing that he will never give up on. No matter what. I’m just going to leave it there and not give anything else away.
I absolutely loved this book. This book is filled with so many emotions. I was up and down and then up again. To see and feel how much Asher loves Ember with every part of his soul will just make your heart break for this man. His love and devotion for this woman will make you love this man deeply.
Ember completely had my heart. Everything that this woman has been through and is continues to go through will also break you. She was so strong, as strong as any woman in her situation could be. There is no doubt that she felt safe with Asher and that maybe somewhere in her mind she felt the love that she once had for him. Regardless of what had happened and what they were going through you could still feel the bond between the two of them.
Their love story was a beautiful one of how they faced many struggles since they first fell in love. With this being the hardest thing that they have gone through. It will ruin you; it will break your heart; it will make you feel every emotion that these characters felt. It is raw and gritty and a love so powerful that you hope it can get through anything. This is Asher and Ember’s story of how they find their way back to each other. What I loved about it as that everything didn’t magically repair itself overnight. This was a slow and real process that took time, and to be honest there was no point in this book where I sure that everything would be ok. I loved the pace of the story and the way Ms. Cole made this story feel nothing but real. The ending was absolutely perfect. And for all of you Kenzi and Tor lovers, we get to see plenty of them in this book which also made me happy. Asher was worth every single minute that we had to wait to get this book. Get ready and prepare yourself because this is a very bumpy and emotional ride. But so worth it!!
