Blog Tour Review: Fall to You by Lexi Ryan

New Adult Contemporary Romance
Release June 2, 2014

About This Book

Fall to You is the second book in the Here and Now series. It is not a stand-alone and is intended to be read following Lost in Me. Hanna’s story concludes in book three, All for This.

Torn between two men…

When I woke up after the accident, I couldn’t remember anything from the last year—including my relationship with Max Hallowell or anything about Nate Crane. Now my memories are returning, but instead of answering my questions, they’re leaving me with more.

The man who broke my heart and wants to be my future…

Max is all I ever wanted, and now he wants to marry me. He’ll do everything he can to fill my life with love, family, and security. I need those things now more than ever. But can I trust him?

The man who stole my heart and wants to let me go…

Nate never made me promises, and I never asked him to. I’d been on the rebound, looking for a distraction, and he made me feel beautiful and wanted when I needed to feel those things most. He says he has to let me go, but what if I can’t let go of him?

With every revelation and every passing day, I feel more like Alice down the rabbit hole. I’m falling. Who will catch me?

4.5 Star Review by Jen Skewes

Oh My God!!  This series is going to kill me but in a really good way.  I read this book and was left with my mind reeling for a complete 24 hours after.  Major book hangover.  Lexi Ryan once again does not disappoint with Fall to You.  This is the 2nd book in the Here and Now series and you must read Lost in Me before reading this one.

We learned in book 1 that Hanna woke up in a hospital bed and could not remember the last 11 months of her life. All she knows is that she is now skinny, engaged the man that she has loved for quite some time and could also be cheating on him with another man.  Max is the man that has loved.  The man who never seemed to see her and had eyes or her sister.  She cannot even remember when they started dating let alone getting engaged.  Then there is Nate Crane, the sexy rock star who she seems to have had some sort of relationship with.  Until her memory comes back, Max and Nate are the only two people who can really help her understand what has happened.

Hanna is apparently in love with two men and has no idea how it all happened.  And as her memory gradually comes back we get more pieces to the puzzle.  I admit that in the beginning I did not like Max at all and there was something about him that I just did not trust.  Nate on the other hand, I fell completely in love with him from the start.  He is a sexy rock star so what’s not to love.

Fall to You starts off in the past in Max’s POV and helps us to understand Max more.  He was a complete jerk and his reasons for dating Hanna in the first place were completely wrong.  But being able to learn the truth about their relationship from Max’s eyes gives you a whole new perspective on the man that Hanna is supposedly engaged to.  I actually like him in this book and I will say that there is a part of me that still may not trust him, but he is not the jerk I assumed him to be

I loved that we got to see more of the past between Nate and Hanna and see exactly how these two met and how their relationship came to be what it is.  You see how much Nate cares for Hanna and how she saved him.  With any love triangle though there is always one person that you want to see the heroine end up with. And the truth is for me it was always Nate.  I like Max but I love Nate.

But here is the thing.  Lexi Ryan threw some twists and turns our way that just completely has me so torn.  There were times where I was completely frustrated with some of the actions from the present.  There were times when I loved Max but still wasn't sold on him  Then there is this feeling that while I love Nate maybe she belongs with Max.  And this is what caused me to think of this book for two days.    And honestly any book that makes me think about it for days, to bring out that many emotions is a sign of an great book and an amazing author.

There are still questions to be answered and more drama and angst to go along with it I am sure.  But that is what makes this series so amazing.   The drama, the angst, the not knowing what will happen, who will she end up with, what really happened the night she ended up in the hospital.  Lexi Ryan has a way with words and has completely blown me a way with this series.  I have read and loved all of her books but she completely stepped it up with this series.  This review is vague for a reason because I do not want to give anything away about the 2nd book in the series.  But will say this; read this series!!!  You will not be disappointed.

About the Author

Once a college English professor, I now write full time. I live in rural Indiana, where, when I'm not writing, I get to hang out with my husband and two kids--a six-year-old boy and a two-year-old hellion, er, girl. Not surprisingly, reading and writing remain my favorite activities, though both come in bits and pieces these days, not the big hunks of time I enjoyed before I had children. When I'm feeling virtuous, I like to go running (I use that word liberally. I'm really, really slow) or do yoga. Don't worry, I'm always careful to balance out such activities with a hearty serving of ice cream or a chocolate martini.
