Friction a SEXY All-New Standalone from Emily Snow is now LIVE!
Former overachiever Lucy WillIams sucks at adulting.
Recent divorce, check.
Pending lawsuit, check.
A move back to Boston to live with her mother, triple check.
It can't get much worse, right?
When she starts her new marketing job at EXtreme Effects, she's positive shit’s stopped hitting the fan. Sure, what she's advertising is a little ... unorthodox, but it pays the bills. And since she's seconds away from becoming Lucy Williams: Wednesday Night Bingo Enthusiast, she needs money to get the hell out of her mother’s house.
The only problem is her boss, Mr. Extreme himself: Jace Exley. He’s everything any sane woman dreams of—alpha, successful, ridiculously gorgeous. He's also Lucy’s worst nightmare. Because like every overachiever, she has that underachiever she brushed off. The slacker who, once upon a time ago, was the object of her dirtiest schoolgirl fantasies.
Jace Exley—with his sarcastic smirk and delicious accent—just happens to be that guy.
And the friction between them?
Well, that's the only adulting Lucy seems to be winning at.

Review by Lisa Kane

Friction is a delicious story with lots of naughty action thrown in to the mix!
Lucy Williams-Duncan is just trying to catch a break. She parted ways as the marketing director from her old company. Suffice it to say that it wasn’t an amicable split. She’s got an interview lined up with Extreme Effects in Boston. She moved back there and in with her mother when things fell apart at her old job.
I’m already being reminded that, at twenty-seven, I am A) living with my mother, and B) alone.
She needs this job. Especially since her old boss is bad mouthing her every time a prospective employer calls for a reference.
I walked out on a two-year contract with my last employer. And the employer in question-whose newest text messages have already gotten under my skin before eight AM-is job blocking me at every turn.
Lucy has researched over and over to find out about Extreme Effects. All she finds out is that it specializes in welding and other metal works. No owner info, no product info. Nada.
So she goes in blind to the interview. And who is the owner? None other than Jace Exley. The same Jace Exley who made life difficult in high school. He was the British transfer student, (don't you just love a hot Brit!) the gorgeous one that everyone wanted a piece of-and yet he and Lucy rubbed each other the wrong way. Maybe because there was always some kind of wild chemistry just bubbling under the surface. Now it’s ten years later and Jace would be calling all the shots. But he’s not giving up too many details about what products she would be marketing.
Jace doesn’t just remember who Lucy is, he remembers how much he wanted her back then. Seems some things haven’t changed.
While I’m speaking, her eyes glaze over, and I smirk because I can pinpoint the exact moment her thoughts went south-right when I brought up that I’m good with my hands. She’s imagining them now. In her hair. Ripping away her clothes. On her tits, plumping, stroking, teasing.
Things for both Jace and Lucy are about to get complicated. There are a lot of twists in this book. Some are a bit shocking. Jace is one balls to the wall kind of guy. He’s very much in touch with his dark side. He pushes Lucy’s comfort zones.  But both of them have been badly burnt and trust is an issue. When one breaks that trust where does that leave them?
I had fallen for the boy who gave me so much grief in high school, the boy with a beautiful accent, the man who wouldn’t return my calls.
Friction is a mouth- watering story about two people meeting years later. Life experiences have shaped both of them but they still have the same attraction for one another. They still rub each other the wrong way but still bring things to their lives that they have never found with anyone else.
“I don’t care. I just want…you.”
“Then you have me, love.”
